Youth Center Looking for Stuff!

Hand-In-Hand Coordinator, Georgina Lehne, said that she's storing in her garage several donated items, but could use a number of other items that would help with the project. The list is fairly long, but Georgina said she'll gladly make it available to anyone who would like to call her. She also said that anyone with any building, remodeling, painting, etc., skills, or anyone that has tools that they want to donate that will assist the volunteers in their remodeling efforts can call her to volunteer or to have tools picked up. The same goes for materials, old paint and any other useable items that could help refurbish the former Grounds Maintenance Garage.

An extraordinary and honored volunteer in her own right, Georgina's the lead of a small group of volunteers that are part of a ramped up effort to build a cadre of volunteers. This cadre will offer helping hands for our members who request their assistance. Members who need help with EC issues, small home repairs, or other jobs will be able to request help from the new Hand In Hand Program, all in an effort to enhance our community spirit.

Supported by the EC Committee, Beautification Committee, Commons Committee and others, the Hand In Hand initiative needs your help. Step One is to build a database of volunteers who will help plan the renovation of the Maintenance Garage. Step Two will determine the long-range goals of Hand In Hand. Step Three will implement those plans. This far-reaching program will have a lasting, positive impact on our community with your help. Please become one of the volunteers that make a real difference in someone's life and in your own community's future.
